The Ultimate Guide to Your First Eyebrow Ring

An eyebrow piercing is a bold, quick way to change your look. If you're getting your first one, here's what to know about the jewelry.

Curved barbells

The most common eyebrow jewelry is a curved barbell: a small bent bar with a ball or spike on each end. It follows the shape of the brow and sits comfortably.

Rings

Once your piercing is healed, captive bead rings and seamless rings give a different look. See our captive bead rings.

Spikes and gems

Swap plain balls for spikes for an edgier look, or for gems for a little sparkle.

Common sizes

Eyebrow jewelry is usually 16 gauge (1.2mm), and common curved barbell lengths are 5/16" (8mm) and 3/8" (10mm). Your piercer picks the right length for your brow, so ask them before you change it.

Before you change your jewelry

Wait until the piercing is fully healed, and ask your piercer if you're not sure. That's it: pick a style you love and wear it with confidence.
