Rae A.Hi! My name is Rae. I have 6 piercings. My first piercings where my ears as a baby, then the top of my ear when I was 15. My next piercings weren’t until after I got married. I had both nipples done. Let me say, I do not suggest ever doing that again, so painful. The next one was my lip on the left side. Side note, I recently got a lip ring from one of your Facebook offers. I loved it, but the little gem fell out! 🙁 Anyways, my next piercing was my tongue. I had made a deal with the man, if he wanted me to get a “downstairs” piercing, I wanted my tongue done and a tattoo, which the tattoo still hasn’t happened. After that my eyebrow and yes “downstairs” was done. I was so afraid to walk for a week after that was done! :0 It’s all good now. But now I want a few more piercings. I think I’d like to get my ears done again and maybe the other side of my lip. 🙂 or those spider bite ones… I have yet to decide. 🙂
I am in love with the piercing art of things. The way you can pierce ears, up around , with industrial bars, horseshoe hoops, studs etc. And go in designs to your face, lips, belly, and body with dermal etc. I have a lot to share about this certain individual at this tattoo shop. His name is Chris. He is so down to earth. The moment I started seeing him for piercings, he makes you feel comfortable. He speaks openly to how he sees things. I wanted a brow piercing again; I once had long ago. I walked in asked if it should be on my left or right. He immediately said with the balance of my 2 piercings in my nose on the left to go the opposite side. Now I’m different from most because absolutely all my piercings I have sanitized first because I always purchase good real 14k quality gold from BodyJewelry.com. Each and every piece you look on my face, ears, belly is gold. Chris did such a quick swift pierce. No pain, no bruising on my areas done always. I adore him and will always be his returning customer as to my faithful BodyJewelry.com where I purchase all my jewelry. Chris did remark how unique I am. He likes my different in choice to start and continue my piercings in good quality gold. He did remark how this sites quality every time I’ve purchase for him to sanitize the pretty clarity in diamond or CZ and quality I wear. I could never be happier with Chris and with BodyJewelry.com. Chris and I will forever be good friends. He couldn’t be more precise in his markings and eye for things. Also his tattooing is also amazing if you ever make it here to the lake of the Ozarks. His shop is called. “RABBITS FOOT!!. I today just had 2 Daith stud piercings on both ears also on my front helix. Couldn’t be more satisfied with cleanliness, price, and passion in his EYE!
I will be 49 in August and am planning to have my fifth piercing in about a week. The road to these piercings has been a long one.I have been acquiring tattoos since I was a teen but only discovered piercings about 8 years ago. My oldest stepson came home on his eighteenth birthday sporting nipple piercings. I of course thought they were awesome and began researching the different types of piercings. My husband on the other hand was hardly thrilled. I began trying to get him to agree to me getting an eyebrow piercing a few months later. Two long years later he gave in and I immediately rushed out and got my right eyebrow pierced before he could change his mind. I began pestering him about a Monroe piercing shortly thereafter. Almost two years later I was still trying to convince him when my oldest daughter came for a visit and she shamed him into agreeing. I had gotten a matching tattoo with his oldest son so she told him it wasn’t fair that he didn’t want me to go and get a Monroe piercing with her. I decided it best not to begin pestering him again for awhile.Sadly about three months later a surgery forced me to abandon my monroe piercing. Two years later my husband, his oldest son and I were on vacation in Mexico and the outdoor cantina we frequented had a tattoo and piercing parlor above it. Of course I tried to convince him to agree to a piercing while we were there. Funny thing is he had absolutely no argument about the piercing I wanted (nipples/go figure) just that he wanted to wait till we were back home. In fact two days after getting home he carried me to have it done. Again sadly another surgery forced me to remove the nipple rings before they were healed. A year later I asked about getting a new piercing. I wanted a vampire bite but he would have no part of that. Only three months later he agreed to me getting my other eyebrow pierced. Said I wouldn’t look so lopsided that way ha ha. This time I went with his daughter, she was getting her third tattoo. When my husband asked me this year what I wanted for valentines I told him I wanted my bellybutton pierced and some new ink. To my utter astonishment he agreed without a seconds hesitation. Secretly he finds my ink and piercings sexy. Besides the only thing that separates us from animals is our ability to accessorize lol.
Barbells are the most commonly used piece of jewelry aside from the captive bead ring for piercings. The great thing about barbells is that they come in a variety of lengths, sizes, colors and materials. Barbells come in many different materials from 316L surgical steel, solid gold, gold plated, solid titanium, anodized titanium and much more. Barbells are typically used when doing tongue piercings, nipple rings, industrial piercings, the eyebrow and several other piercings.
When it comes to shopping for your barbells make sure that you know the exact size of your piercings. Knowing the gauge size is crucial in shopping for body jewelry. The gauge size is the thickness of the stem of the ring. The next important thing to know is the length that you may need for your piercing. Buying a barbell that is too short can be harmful to your piercing.
For those who are really into body modification barbells are available for those that are interested in stretching their piercings. You can find large gauge barbells for stretching almost any piercing. Tongue piercings and nipple piercings can easily be stretched with large gauge barbells.
The eyebrow piercing can also be worn with a straight barbell, being that the eyebrow piercing is a surface piercing the curved barbell is normally used when the piercing is initially done. Once the eyebrow piercing has healed you are free to put in which ever jewelry to choose and some like the look of the straight barbell.

I don’t consider myself to be an extremist when it comes to body modification like piercings and tattoos, but I do have 4 piercings and 17 tattoos and counting. My most recent piercing was an eyebrow piercing that I pierced for the second time because the first one rejected. The first time I got my eyebrow pierced I didn’t go to my regular tattoo shop I was out of town on vacation and it was kind of a spur of the moment thing and clearly the guy didn’t know what he was doing. The piercing wasn’t deep enough and it eventually started to reject so I took it out before it completely grew out of my skin. Just recently about 3 months ago I decided that I wanted my eyebrow ring back. I went back to my normal piercer at my tattoo shop that I frequent often to have it re-pierced. When I got to the shop I was kind of nervous that they wouldn’t be able to re-pierce my eyebrow because it rejected the first time and I didn’t want it to reject again. The piercer reassured me that it wouldn’t reject this time as long as it is pierced properly. Another thing he did for me was put a solid titanium curved barbell in it he said that with titanium I would have less of a chance of rejection. My piercing has been doing great and there are no signs of rejection yet!
I have always wanted my lip pierced but was always too scared to do it especially because I already had one facial piercing, that being my eyebrow and thought it would look a little excessive. Then one day, I finally said forget being a little over excessive, if I like it, I’ll get it and gathered up the courage to go to the piercing shop. I wasn’t nervous when I was sitting in the chair because I’ve grown numb to the piercing pain and so I waited patiently to get it done. The piercer made a little mark and a second later, the needle was through my lip. I didn’t feel any pain and he quickly screwed the lip ring in. I was happy with the results minus the anticipated swelling and feel like my eyebrow ring and lip ring contrast each other but in a positive way!

I was already running late to my new job with only moments to spair before my new boss bombarded me with my daily duties assigned to a newly hired page planner at our towns local paper. I was not expecting to encounter the man of my dreams via high heal collision in the businesses foyer. We crashed into one another sending stacks of papers flying upward as my butt fell downward sending one shoe off towards the elevator that promptly closed shut. (I never did get the shoe back).
He stared at me with those dreamy baby blue eyes framed with studded sexiness. He smiled a crooked grin reaching his hand out to help me up undoubtedly quicker on his toes than I.
I took in his tasteful placement of studs and tattoos unable to take my eyes off that sexy smile for a minute. I don’t know who spoke first but we wound up eating lunch together that day and the next followed by spacers and tong studs placed by Brad himself. He was a journalist that expressed himself not only in his writing, but with his piercings and tattoos that told a story of there own. He had an interesting pass time tattooing teens struck with cancer in a program similar to make a wish but it did ink and piercing.
Tragically Brad passed away himself a year later in a car accident hit by a drunk driver. Here is my first eyebrow ring piercing he ever did on me….the others my husband wont allow me to post, but they were done by a pro in good taste:) Today I know many lives were touched by Brad and I am researching how to start a foundation to fund body art for ill people that cant afford to express themselves the way Brad loved to express himself.
