Mike From Colorado

My name is Mike and my piercings story is not a good one lol, well I had gotten my ears pierced when I was in high school. It was the thing to do at that time most guys had either one or both pierced and wore diamond or cz earrings in them. Well after high school I stopped wearing earrings I didnt go to college I started working right out of high school. I am in automotive repair so tattoos and piercings aren’t really frowned upon in my field of work, I just didnt want to wear the regular earrings it looked pretty juvenile to me. My girlfriend at the time started to gauge her ears, it was pretty cool and I decided hey Im gonna do it too. I didn’t go to a piercer to see what I should do first, I just kind of googled it read a few forums and went for it. I ordered my first pair of tapers which were a 10 gauge, I had no idea what I was doing and I shoved the taper right through my ear. It bled and was swollen for a while, it felt like it was never going to heal. About a week and a half later I went in at a 4 gauge and that was the worst thing I could have done my ear ripped and stretched so far so quickly that it got really thin and I had to go see a piercer. When I got to the shop he told me that I was gauging way to fast, he suggested sea salt soaks and putting a smaller gauge in it until it healed, it was a complete blow out but it almost was. It has been about a year now and I am currently at a 0 gauge, I am comfortable at this size and Im going to keep it there for a while.
