My piercing story is a bit graphic but its quite interesting. My story is about getting my industrial pierced when I was in the 11th grade and I wasnt supposed to do it anyway… well here it goes. So my older brother took me out with him and his friends and they all went to get tattoos. He was about to go away to college and he and his friends were all getting tattoos, and of course my parents never told me no I couldnt get a industrial piercing but I knew that they wouldnt like but I decided to do it anyway. The piercer was awesome I decided to hop in the chair and get it over with while they decided what tattoos and where they were going to get tattooed. The piercer marked my ear for the placement and the first pierced hole went fine but for the second hole that was the most painful part of the piercing it felt like the needle had gotten caught or something, it was horrific. This has to be one of the most painful piercings that I have had, Im not sure if it was just me or if it was the piercer but my nipple rings didnt even hurt as bad as my industrial piercing.

My Body piercing stories are pretty typical, I have 10 piercings 5 of which are in my face. I have always liked piercings and tattoos. My first piercing was my nose, I was 15 and I begged and begged my mom to let me get my nose pierced after 4 months of convincing and nagging her I was finally able to get it. That then led to me getting my belly button and first tongue ring. My senior year of high school she allowed me to get a labret and medusa. My favorite piercing is the medusa, I guess because it was the least painful of them all. My most recent piercing though is my second tongue piercing, I had originally gone in for a tongue web piercing, I really wanted one but the piercer told me I didnt have enough meat down there to pierce so I just went for the second tongue ring. I think it may be the beginning of me starting to split my tongue who knows.

My story is about piercing my medusa. I have quite a few tattoos and the only piercings that I had was my belly button ring. I later got my snake bites which are my favorite but they were quite a bit when it comes to after care. So when it came down to getting a new piercing I didnt know what I wanted to do next it seems like everyone had a labret or a monroe piercing and I wanted to be different. Just like my snake bites I didnt just want one lip ring like everyone else I wanted something different. So when I got to the tattoo shop and I spoke to my piercer I told her that I wanted something different and she actually suggested the medusa. She said it was look nice with the two snake bites, it was something different so why not right? I wasnt really nervous I have a very very high pain tolerance so I can’t really give advice on how much it hurt because none of my modifications were painful to me. I would recommend this piercing if you want to try something different.

My name is Alexa and this is my piercing story. My body piercings and tattooing started when I was very young. When I was 14 years old my mom let me get my second hole in my ear. When I was 16 for my birthday I was able to get my helix pierced. My older sister was dating a tattoo artist at the time so she was getting tatted like crazy. When I was 17 I begged my sister to let me get a tattoo, I know I couldnt ask my mom to do it so she agreed. While I was in the tattoo shop some of the other artists had their ears stretched and I thought it was so cool. I told myself that I was going to start stretching my ears. I was only 17 I was still in high school with no job so I had to use my own resources the first thing I did to stretch was go to the fabric store, I got an extra large sewing needle it had to be like a 14 gauge and I put that through my existing ear lobe piercing. It wasnt painful at all. When my sister found out how I stretched my ear for the first time she nearly freaked so she had her boyfriend bring me tapers from his shop so that I could slowly stretch my ears and properly. I am now 21 and I am currently at a 00 gauge I want to see how big I can go, so my body modification journey is not complete yet.
When it comes to body piercing and body modification it is important that you put thought into each step of the process. The initial piercing is only the beginning. Before getting a piercing done, you should do your research. There are many different materials that body jewelry comes in like surgical steel, titanium, sterling silver, solid gold, gold plated, anodized titanium and the list goes on.
When you have a fresh piercing you have to remember that it is a fresh wound and it should be treated as such. Aside from keeping your piercing clean, you can experience problems with migration and rejection due to having the wrong type of jewelry in. Most piercers use a piece of surgical steel as the initial piercing jewelry, but you as the customer can have the piercing done with another type of metal if you choose. Many people have allergic reactions to certain metals as a result the body rejects the jewelry resulting in the jewelry coming out of the skin. If you are experiencing irritation and it does not seem to be an infection it is most likely the jewelry. The safest jewelry to use in this case is solid titanium. Solid titanium body jewelry is the safest to use as many people do not have an allergic reaction to it and it is a very durable metal. 14k solid gold would be the next option, of course its solid gold so the price tag may be a bit higher than your average piece of body jewelry but it is worth it. Nickel free surgical steel would be the last and final option. Medical grade surgical steel is the best surgical steel to use in your piercings, many jewelry companies and tattoo shops advertise surgical steel but please be sure to check that it is nickel free. Many people have a bad reaction to nickel and that is normally what causes the irritation.

My piercing story is pretty wild, but here it goes. I had my septum pierced for almost 6 years and I really started getting into body modification I have snake bits (piercings on both sides of my lip) and I have the center of my lip pierced. The first stretch that I did was my ears it took me about 3 years to reach a 2 gauge and I think I am going to stop there for now. My next stretch was my septum, my piercer told me that stretching cartilage tends to take alot long due to the lack of blood flow so it wasn’t going to be as easy as stretching my ears, but I was up for the challenge. Instead of doing this on my own at home I decided to have my piercer do it and my first stretch was from a 14 gauge to a 10 gauge and it was pretty darn painful. I am currently at a 6 gauge and I plan to stop when I cant go any larger I dont have a set size in mind just when my piercer tells me I can’ t go anymore I will stop. I have recently started stretching my nostrils about 2 months ago. I am loving my journey of body modification.

My name is Maryann and this is the story of my labret it all started on Saturday night when I went to go and get my 3 tattoo with a friend of mine, my friend was getting his tongue pierced and I was getting some new ink on my upper left shoulder. I was pretty jealous of the piercing I really wanted my tongue pierced but I was extremely scared to do that and as I was talking to the tattoo artist he suggested a labret monroe. I didn’t know if it would fit me but hey it would satisfy my craving for a new piercing so I went along with it. After my tattoo was done I went directly to the piercer to get my labret done. I’m pretty terrified of needles not as much with tattoos because you can’t really see it, the needle is in a machine but a big piercing needle no way! The piercer was really nice he calmed me down and assured me that it wasn’t going to be bad at all. Easy for him to say he was covered in piercings and had tattoos in his face so clearly nothing hurts him LOL. Long story short my labret wasn’t painful at all and it’s one of the most memorable piercings I have.

My piercing story is pretty embarrassing but oh well here it goes. I was 18 a freshman in college and no I shouldn’t have been drinking but I was along with a few other friends and I really wanted to get my tongue ring. So on a whim I went and got it pierced, when I was in the chair after all of the things were prepped for me to get pierced, the piercer told me to open my mouth, he dried my tongue off so that he could do the piercing. Obviously I had to keep my mouth open for the piercing and I couldnt help but drooling I was pretty intoxicated along with my mouth being open I couldnt help it. The piercing was successful, I dont remember it hurting I just remember the swelling the next morning and the days to follow being pretty bad but other than that it wasnt bad at all. The worst part about my piercing was drooling all over the really hot piercers hand while he pierced me LOL.

I have been into piercings since I was 10 when I first got my ear lobe pierced. Over the years I acquired more and more piercings. I now have 12 piercings, but my favorite ones are in my ears. I started out with stretching my ear lobes when I was in my senior year of high school I slowly started to stretch my ears. I had to do it slowly to avoid my ear bursting open and having to be sewn up. It took me about a year and half to get to a 2 gauge. I dont think I am going to stretch beyond this point. My next ear piercings was my industrial barbell. I have always wanted an industrial and as soon as I went off to college that was the first thing that I pierced. The piercing itself was pretty painful but if I had to yes I would do it again. After my industrial I also pierced my forward helix, anti-tragus, and conch. I love all of my body piercings and I want to get into dermals next, I have a few tattoos that can use some jewels so that will be my next project.
